Procedure: Spinal Discectomy

What was your initial medical issue?

I had pain and numbness in my low back and legs that got progressively worse over the course of several years.

What did this issue prevent you doing?

The pain and numbness impacted everything. I couldn’t stand for more than 10 minutes at a time and sleeping became nearly impossible.

What made you decide to do something about your problem?

I tried chiropractic, physical therapy, and injections but nothing really worked for very long.

Why did you choose Dr. Sinicropi?

I was referred by my doctor at HealthEast. I had a complex case – a combination of spinal stenosis, arthritis, and sciatica.

What treatment/procedure did you have done?

I had a discectomy in my low back.

How did you feel after treatment?

At first I was a little sore, but the back and leg pain was gone almost immediately.

What advice would you give other patients in a similar situation to you?

Don’t wait to see a spine doctor. I wish I had gotten the surgery earlier.
