This way patient education extends far beyond just the patients that walk into his office for an appointment.

We didn’t really know where our blogging and social sharing would take us when we first started, but over the years we’ve gained a few followers and loyal readers, and we like to think that we’ve helped patients come to a better understanding of the spinal conditions they are dealing with. According to a recent study by the World Journal of Orthopedics, we may be reaching a larger audience than we first believed.

28th Most Influential Orthopedic Surgeon

Last month, the WJO published a study that sought to rank the top 100 most influential orthopedic surgeons on social media. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that Dr. Stefano Sinicropi was named the 28th most influential doctor in orthopedic surgery.

If you’ve got a minute, swing on over and check out the study for yourself. On the site, you can read more about the methods used for data collection and how each doctor earned the rank they received. It’s also a great place to turn if you’re looking for more medical minds to follow on social media, because the site lists the Twitter handles of all 100 ranked doctors.

We recognize a lot of doctors on this list from our time on the web, but we’re also excited to see more than a few familiar faces that we’ve met in person on this list. Minnesota trails only California, New York and Florida in terms of the states with the most doctors on the list, so you’ve got plenty of great medical minds in different specialties around the state if you live here Minnesota and you need help with your health.

We’re honored to make the list and we hope to continue you to provide you and all of our readers with helpful healthcare information so you can make the best decision for your spine and your whole body.
